Optimal Buying Ranges
My program “Anna Molly” is named that because she finds anomalies in the stock market using statistics. I created her over about 5 years from 2012 to 2017 while studying Applied Mathematics at multiple colleges. I started in one programming language and kept changing it until I found the best one to use. In the beginning it took me 20 minutes to analyze a stock using the designed methodology, now it takes about 5 seconds through upgrades in my computer hardware and the actual programming. I run the program a few times a week on big names in Tech, Finance and Oil.
"Anna Molly" has been thoroughly tested over the years using forward testing. I have live traded with "Anna Molly" for quite some time and have also paper traded with it and documented the results. It's a great indicator that's helped me make the best trades I've ever made. It really gives me the edge I need to make great percentages while trading. For example, if I use my normal set ups to buy a stock I might average a 2% or 3% return, but if the stock is also in its optimal buying range, I might average around 5%. I get a lot better results when I add in this great indicator.
As I said on the "How it Works" page, this is not an "all-in-one" indicator, it's just something to add into your arsenal. If you see a technical set up forming and that stock is also in "Optimal Buying Range," I would definitely take that trade!
If a stock is in its optimal range on Sunday, technically, that means it has great returns from Mondays closing price to the closing price one month later. However, most of the time, the moves play out much quicker, sometimes the next day. I will almost always give a summary of my interpretation of the reading that I get for "Anna Molly," saying whether I think it is indicative of anything, or somewhat neutral.
Hot Or Not
Another indicator I have developed using the same methodology is the "Hot or Not" Indicator. This indicator will tell you if a stock is hot, cold, or in its optimal buying range. Basically, if it is hot, it has a higher chance of moving up than usual, but it isn't something to write home about, unless a whole sector is hot. When an entire sector is hot, it's very bullish and when an entire sector is in its optimal buying range, it's even more bullish.
